ANALYSIS

Have you spent more time at One World Way stuck in traffic rather than actually waiting for your flight? Now we’ve figured out why. We’ve analyzed 39 months of vehicle and air traffic at Los Angeles International Airport, and found a close correlation between the number of flights with the number of cars arriving and departing from the airport.

We reccomend avoiding traveling through One World Way in November and December, if possible. Instead, wait until January, by when people will have gotten home from their holiday trips and the LAX traffic will flow much more smoothly.

One important anomaly: In August of 2014, 4 million more cars entered LAX, rather than exited. In the preceding months, the opposite was true: many more cars left than entered. We infer this could have been a result of returning summer vacationers that parked their cars in long term airport parking as they jetted off to their summer adventures.
